Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)
Praise God, our sixteen year-old daughter has been miraculously healed of a substantial shoulder injury: today she was able to compete in a varsity basketball game and even score multiple baskets three weeks to the day of the injury, without surgery or physical therapy! (Please click on the link to read Part I for details if you haven’t already.)
One of her Christian coaches was so concerned about our daughter’s shoulder injury that he arranged for an orthopedic surgeon, a parent of one of her schoolmates, to evaluate her – I approved, knowing that God had been and still was healing her miraculously, and that He was going to be glorified via our obtaining the opinion of the appropriate medical specialist. It was thus divinely arranged that she was examined by an excellent orthopedic surgeon for free seven days after sustaining the injury.
Now, good physicians obtain a detailed history first, and then carry out their physical examinations accordingly. The surgeon learned that the direct frontal impact of her basketball opponent had caused intense pain and a loud “popping” noise from her right shoulder, that ibuprofen did not relieve the pain, that she could not abduct her arm when I (a pathologist) finally saw and examined her two days after the injury (she had gone directly from Friday’s game to “Disciple Now Weekend”), and that the pain was severe enough to bring our stoic daughter to tears Sunday night. He also learned that the pain had since decreased to a “4” on a scale of 1 to 10.
It was clear that the physical examination findings did NOT line up with what the orthopedic surgeon expected to find from the history: his fingertip prodding did NOT elicit the pain he expected in particular areas of her shoulder. He admitted that her case was unusual; his best interpretation of the injury one week out was that the acromio-clavicular joint had been compressed, injuring cartilage and ligaments. He recommended that she rest her shoulder and take it slow; she did NOT need to continue using a sling, and did NOT even require physical therapy!
Frankly, at first I took this to mean that my (pathologist’s) assessment of a torn rotator cuff injury had been wrong, while my spiritual discernment had been spot on. It wasn’t until a few hours after I had reported the orthopedic surgeon’s assessment to her coaches that the Holy Spirit showed me this: our daughter actually HAD sustained a considerable shoulder injury, but her father’s and my faith in God’s word that we had spoken over her WAS the substance of the supernatural healing hoped for, causing an expert in such injuries to admit that he really didn’t understand it, but that he knew it would continue to heal on its own!
Hallelujah! To God be ALL the glory and honor, now and forever more!
I will conclude with the two Scriptures which opened the first article:
…at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:11b-12)
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in My name… they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. (Mark 16:17-18).
Rejoicing in Christ our Healing Who is the same yesterday and today and forever, your sister deanna
Glory to God for his ultimate healing power! It’s all in the blood of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior! So glad your daughter is doing well. I pray that someone who knows or hears about her case and does not know him will now get a desire to do so! I have experienced Miraculous Healing during my walk with a major auto-immune disorder. I know without question that this is so REAL!

Praise God for your testimony – you know His Love for you (Jesus), and He Himself IS your Healing (and those who know Him this way realize it is even more than knowing Christ as our Healer, as Watchman Nee often pointed out). ❤️
