Acknowledge The Treasure In You

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus– Philemon 1:6

What a blessed truth revealed to us in this verse of Scripture! The King James Version renders it most accurately. I want to highlight three keywords in that verse.

The first is “communication,” which is translated from the Greek word “κοινωνία (koinōnia)”; and it means fellowship or participation. The second word is “effectual,” which means to become active or operative. It derives from the Greek word “ἐνεργής (energēs)”. The Lord wants your participation or fellowship in the faith to become active; he wants your life to transcend the limitation of the natural laws through the acknowledging of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus.
