Real-Time Testimony of Miraculous Healing – Part I

…at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. (John 14:11b-12)

And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name… they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. (Mark 16:17-18b)

Only a minority of professing Christians in the Western world truly know these words, believe them, and then carry them out in accordance with the Holy Spirit. Praise God, despite being a highly-educated physician, I am in that minority of born-again believers, and my heart is heavy about this! These Scriptures DO still apply today, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Heb. 13:8).

Deceit and unbelief not only disarm Christians of their authority in Christ, but thwart many souls from coming to Him, because God uses miracles performed through His offspring to draw people to Him: for many people saw the miracles he was performing and believed in his name (John 2:23). To the glory of God, it is an ex-worldly-minded follower of Christ, a Baptist even, professing this to you here and now! 😊

All but one of the persons whom Jesus and the apostles healed by the spirit of the Lord appear to have been fully healed instantly (the blind man described in Mark 8:22-26 is the exception). Oddly enough, however, God’s multiple miraculous healings of myself and of my immediate family members via my faith in Christ have ALL had a significant time delay, usually from days to weeks after speaking forth His omnipotent word. Of course, the challenging delays always cause me to walk by faith and not by sight even more than I would if the healings were to come instantaneously…

In fact, my husband and I are presently walking by faith now regarding our precious 16 year-old born-again daughter, who sustained a torn right rotator cuff (significant shoulder injury) this past Friday during a varsity basketball game. The Holy Spirit led us to lay hands on her, anoint her with oil, and speak such glorious truths as Romans 8:11,  1 Peter 2:24, Jonah 2:8 (KJV), Isaiah 55:10-11, and Mark 16:17a, 18b (see above) over her. God is equipping us with ALL that He requires of us and ALL that we need as we walk together by faith. Notably, as of this moment, He is NOT leading us to pursue surgical treatment for her. (Does that surprise you?  If so, you are new to this blog-site!)

Instead, our family is praising God, knowing that our faith in what Jesus Christ accomplished 2,000 years ago IS the very real substance of what we hope for (see Heb. 11:1), and that the physical manifestation therefore IS coming, for God is faithful and delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love (1 Cor. 1:9; Psalm 146:11).

Of course, the Lord is not only growing our family in faith as He waits to bring forth the physical manifestation of His miraculous healing of our precious daughter (the Christian basketball team’s point guard) – He is taking her coaches, many members of her team, many of her Christian classmates, many of their parents, and many of her teachers out of their comfort zones, growing them in their faith in His word as well. (Of course, she is also having to deal with the usual teen-age issue of being embarrassed by her parents’ behavior, to top all this off…) 😣

Join us in praising God for rooting and grounding us in His unfailing love and His omnipotent word! Dwelling in Christ, we are indeed treading on the lion and the cobra, trampling the great lion and the serpent (see Psalm 91:9-13)!
