“We have a victory in Christ that we’re contending for and appropriating because His word is true… we’re in a covenant relationship with God… I can’t get a man out of a coma, but the Spirit of God can! Guess where He is? In me!“
With words such as this, Dan Mohler delivers the most powerful message on healing that I have ever seen in a video; I found it posted on YouTube, entitled “Healing the Bible Way – Dan Mohler.” Brothers and sisters, this message will cause you to see and understand things you haven’t seen or understood before about healing by faith in the power of Jesus Christ! It includes Dan’s amazing testimony of how he not only dealt (by grace through faith!) with being informed his wife was in a coma, but how he briefly spoke truth to her and the Lord healed her. (I inserted a photo to mark the beginning of that testimony, midway through this transcript.)
I pray that you MAKE the time to either watch the 34 minute video via the link above (sooo amazing!) or read my near-literal transcript of that message here, slightly modified for easy readability.
So please, make time for this. Set yourself away from all distractions, get comfortable, press into the Lord, and receive this message! You will be so very glad that you did: many, many people may be healed in the name of Jesus because you made the time to do this and RECEIVE the transforming and empowering truth herein! God bless you! – deanna
Healing the Bible Way – Dan Mohler
In Session 1 I’m going to talk about healing. Honestly, I might say some things that are different than you’ve believed or been taught your whole life. It’s not because I’m trying to be divisive. I’m just going to read the word and we’ll think about some things here. I’m concerned that when it comes to healing, we, through our experience, have built a list so long and have made it so complicated that we’ve got so many reasons why it might not or can’t happen that we’re very hesitant to even step out in this whole arena called healing. We’ve been confused. We’ve seen a lot of people not healed, or we know people we’ve all prayed for in the church and they haven’t lived; all that stuff gets in our head, and we think we have to answer that and we make up reasons why. I think our answers are at the cost of truth, and truth makes us free, and so we’ve dug ourselves a hole.
We have thirty reasons why people aren’t healed, or maybe it’s thirty-three in the latest book. I’m thinking Jesus didn’t have that book in His back pocket. The reason He didn’t was because it wasn’t His experience. The only reason we have it is because it’s our experience, and we feel we have to explain it. Well, if you accept one of those reasons is viable, you’ve just put a ceiling over the power of God on your life, and you stop yourself from growing past that reason.
I bet the gospel’s greater. I bet that love is greater, that nothing can stop Jesus. We’re going to talk about it a little. We have to be careful that WE stay out of the picture and that we let Christ rule and reign over the whole equation. We’ve made this thing more difficult than it is; we’ve made it all about us! Praying more prayers, praying more spiritual prayers. The name of Jesus is not synonymous with saying “abracadabra.” He’s the Name above every name. Faith isn’t a method. It has nothing to do with what you pray; it has to do with what you believe. And we get so self-conscious about what we pray that a lot of men don’t know what to pray. “Be healed,” “be made whole,” “come out of him,” is probably good enough when you believe. And any of us can pray that, can’t we?
See, we turn this thing into WORKS when it’s GRACE. Then WE try to fill something that is already complete. Come on! If I took a survey and you’d be honest, there’s a lot of people sitting here who, as soon as you’ve started praying for the sick, you’ve wondered, “Am I praying good enough?” and you’ve become very conscious of what you were saying. Be honest; raise your hand if that ever happened to you? Look, I have my hand up too. It’s almost unanimous.
So tell me these aren’t strongholds that are trying to keep us back by keeping us self-centered, self-conscious, and insufficient, when the finished work of Christ is enough! That’s why I’m teaching this stuff, so that we break these things off of us and get back to truth, because the truth will make us free. All of a sudden I don’t have to produce anything; I put all my confidence in what’s already finished! I can’t get a man out of a coma, but the Spirit of God can! Guess where He is? In me!
I believe it! I’ve seen about five folks come out of comas; it’s really fun! One was a young boy; he was in there for a long time. I was talking to his parents, and they started crying. I was preaching Jesus just like now, and my heart was all revved up.. and I said, “See, it’s the will of God, it’s all the power of God.” It’s not all the fasting and all the praying, guys! We get into works with that! We’re trying to get a move of God and we already HAVE a move of God! It’s faith through Jesus!
I turned and I looked and spoke the boy’s name and said, “Look at me, son.” He was on the ventilator, and he turned and looked right at me. Yah! Ahhhh! The next day, he was off of everything [all life support]. Do you see what’s “wrong” with me? I gotta tell you some things like that so you understand what’s “wrong” with me! [Laughs]
The gospel’s true! Whoops! See, just because we haven’t seen everybody respond like that, then we ask questions, and we rewrite a book that’s already written!
I won’t let my natural knowledge change the truth that’s eternal. I’ll go back to the life of Jesus, and if my experience doesn’t measure up to His life I will can [meaning disregard] my experience and keep seeking Him. I answer to His word, not my experience. If His word says they’re healed, they’re healed, and if they died, I just need more of Him and to keep seeking Him and I’ll keep praying for healing and there’s nothing that can hold me back.
“Yah, brother, but we prayed and prayed and prayed, and if it was the will of God…” Stop that. You’re scratching God’s word in so many ways. That is human reasoning, human wisdom, and the way that seems right to a man trumping truth again, and yet truth is the same. Come on, you better be humble here.
[He gives the example of Christ’s disciples not healing an epileptic boy in Matt. 17:14-21; Mark 9:14-29]: Jesus didn’t say their failure was because of all that we say the failure is; Jesus said it was because they failed to see and understand and believe – that their minds were in the way. And He corrected them strongly in that chapter, which means they could have healed the boy! We’re gonna take a look at that one; I can tell by your eyes we must!
I want you to see this: Luke 10:8-9. “Whatever city you enter, heal the sick there and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is come.’ ” If you say “the kingdom of God is come” AFTER you’ve prayed and AFTER they’re healed, they may know nothing before you’ve prayed, so how could THEY have faith? What’s first in this commission? It’s healing the sick before it’s even speaking the word! In Matthew 10 it’s the opposite order. In our culture I like to use the approach in Luke’s account, because people have enough religion, enough theology that if you try to talk Jesus FIRST they’ll try to talk you out of it, and tell you why it’s not their time, etc., and ALL these reasons why not to love them with the gospel.
I say that you have to believe it’s the will of God to heal people. How are you going to have faith, how are you going to have the substance of what you hope for, the evidence of what you haven’t seen, if you haven’t established and settled the will of God in your heart?
What gives me the confidence to pray for the sick? I believe it’s God’s will to heal and touch the sick! It’s not just because they’re sick, it’s because God said “Go, and whatever city you’re in, heal the sick.”
…We let our experience trump the validity of God’s word, and we wouldn’t dare think that we’re missing something! Whoo, I didn’t say that meanly. We’re missing something! Let’s not let anything stop the power of God! Let’s not have any reason why it’s NOT possible; let’s settle on one reason why it IS possible and grow into that until it’s our reality.
I’ve been in four churches that I can remember where every sickness we prayed for was healed, even the “big” things on our scales. To heaven it’s all the same. The reason we receive it on a scale is because we see it on a scale. We hear “cancer” and we try to dig in and pray a better prayer. What are we saying? “Cancer, you’re powerful and you intimidate me.” …because it has hurt so many of us and its natural reality has a voice. I don’t think Jesus is intimidated by cancer! I think we’ve just been hurt by it. And we’ve meant well and we’ve prayed a lot and we haven’t seen victory a lot. I’ve watched, and most of the time Christians pray because they’re driven by the problem…
Faith doesn’t come because you’re driven by a problem; faith comes because of love. Faith comes because of the word and the promise. We’re not problem-driven people, we’re promise-driven people, we’re answer-driven! We have a victory in Christ that we’re contending for and appropriating because His word is true. It’s not just because we have the Bible and we have Christian rights. It’s because we’re in a covenant relationship with God.
Some of us are discouraged and hurt because we tried everything and prayed everything we were supposed to pray and we turned relationship into a method, a Christian method… There’s discouragement there. No, it’s relationship and growing up in Him into all things, and faith working through love, and love never failing, and us knowing our place.
One thing I really want to encourage you in, and I’m way past debate – can you understand that I’m happy and free, that I’m having fun in the gospel? Can you tell that I at least sincerely believe what I’m telling you? OK, now watch. I’m way past debate; people who lack the Christian experience want to debate and tell you why not… You’re way late for me! A guy like me will just make you frustrated without trying! Because you’re not going to pull me into that! I’m having too much fun; I just understand that you don’t understand, and that’s not an arrogant phrase!
I’ve seen HUNDREDS and hundreds of people get healed, HUNDREDS! And I’ve seen people NOT get healed. I’ve seen people that had to die die, but I’ve seen people that had to die live. I’ve gotten over the struggle of that a long time ago. I’m just going after what’s possible – what’s God – and I’m building on what He’s doing.
I’m not trying to write theology: it’s already here! It’s the life of Jesus! Jesus is perfect theology! He’s the visible image of an invisible God! He’s the expressed image of His person. When you’ve seen Him, you’ve seen the Father! ..so He is the WILL of God revealed!
We’re still trying to figure out God through life. We’re still analytically processing God through the experiences of our life. …we’re saying that because Bill died and Bob lived God heals some and doesn’t heal all. Well Jesus didn’t declare that – life declares that, but Jesus didn’t declare that. John 1 says that God has spoken through His Son. Well Jesus didn’t declare that God heals some and doesn’t heal all; circumstances have declared that. So who’s the voice of truth: circumstances or Jesus?
Come on, let’s get humble and really die! Well, we know it all, and our knowledge is puffing us up and putting a ceiling over the power of God that we desperately need. (Come on, I’m preaching straight; I’m not mad at anybody, I’m letting this thing fly.)
This thing is real, and that’s the effect it has on me [referring to a woman in the audience crying out in joy as he was preaching this]. You have no idea when this thing came alive in me sixteen years ago, I was [overcome as the woman was], because nobody told me this and nobody was bold enough to even declare this was possible; making excuses for the lack of power and explaining away the deaths of people, and all of a sudden I’m just being trapped in life, being subdued when I’m created to subdue – to be bold as a lion and be righteous and win. So ain’t nobody stopping me! You don’t even have to agree with me, but I’m cheering you on and you can’t even stop me! You can disagree all you want, and people are STILL gonna get healed and you’ll just get mad and come up with another reason why or why not. It’s the truth!
Come on, let’s run with the gospel! Let’s get on page with heaven! Jesus did not declare the Father has healed some and does not heal all, did He? He healed ALL that came to Him, and everyone He touched was healed, so He declared it’s the will of God to heal. If He’d have said to ONE person, “I’m sorry, I can’t, it’s not your time,” or “I can’t, it’s not the Father’s will,” if He’d have said it ONE time concerning healing we’d have a reason to NOT believe. Because then everybody you pray for, you’d wonder if they’re in that category. If Jesus had made just ONE exception, then we’d throw the person we’d been praying for into that exception. But because we let our experience be our doctrine, they’re already in that exception because we’ve created many exceptions. We say stuff like, “Well, all in God’s good time.” THE TIME FOR SALVATION (Greek: “soteria” – healing, preservation, deliverance) IS NOW! TODAY IS THE DAY, NOW IS THE TIME!
[Someone will say]: “Well it’s not God’s will; if it was God’s will they’d be healed.” It’s not an “abracadabra” – it’s the prayer of faith that saves the sick! That’s why I took you to James 5. It’s not an ordinance, you’re not just praying saying, “Well, whatever will be will be, if it’s God’s will… Well, I guess it wasn’t God’s will.” Come on, that’s not it, it’s the prayer of faith!
What’s faith? Hebrews chapter 11: faith is the substance, meaning the realization, the tangibility, the realization of what you hope for. How can I have the realization of my hope unless I’ve established and settled the will of God in the matter? Where does faith come from? KNOWING THE WILL OF GOD! Faith works through love. Faith doesn’t work because I have a problem; need works because I have a problem, and need drives fear. Faith works through love and love casts out fear.
We pray from fear a lot. We pray for Sally when she has cancer; the whole church prays and fasts for Sally when she has cancer because we’re scared half to death she’s gonna die. So we go into Christian performance to get a breakthrough and the stone’s already been rolled away! (Come on, I’m letting her fly; I hope you’re hearing me.) And then we say, “But the whole church was praying! It couldn’t have been God’s will or she’d have been healed because we were all praying.”
I don’t know what we were doing, because the Bible says that if a man has faith and says to the mountain “move” it WILL move. So if it doesn’t move we’re missing something. We’re good sincere people and we don’t want Sally to die, but we’re letting our emotion and empathy drive us in prayer and we’re turning this into a method when it’s RELATIONSHIP and the power of God. Come on, you can’t take things personal – you take the gospel personal.
…You start praying for all the wrong reasons. They seem right, but they don’t have the power of God. And you can see that we’re on a wrong track, because then the results cause great animosity and division among us, and now we have camps and rivers and streams that God never built and never dug. We’re justifying our own experiences and our own belief systems that came through our lives instead of Jesus’ life.
A lot of what we believe transpires because of the way life’s been. There are people who are so discouraged about healing because they’ve prayed and prayed for an uncle and he didn’t get healed, and they said, “Never again.” It’s all the more reason, because God’s word says it can happen, there has to be something I need to see, something that I can be enlightened in. God forbid I get selfish, personal, turn inward and quit in something I’m predestined for! God forbid I throw in the towel when it’s not even my privilege because I’m not my own, I was bought for a price! Have Your way in me, God, and give me a revelation, I’m going after this thing!
We might have lost my uncle, but God forbid, we’re not going to lose any more. I promise you, you take a back seat, you take a bench, you’re going to watch more and more dying and you’re heart’s gonna grow harder and harder and harder, and you’re belief system’s gonna be justified by more deaths, and you will be a million miles from the power of God and truth, and you will just settle into a doctrine that will try to protect your soul, but you’re not okay.
(I’m letting her fly here, I hope you’re getting all this. I’m not mad at you; can you see how intense I am on all this? It’s nothing personal towards you. It’s because this lie is costing us so much. I am done with our people dying, come on, and you are too…)
I woke up a year ago, and the Lord said, “My people feel vulnerable in the world in which they live; vulnerability is fear.” And I just bawled and bawled and God ministered to me and I interceded and prayed for us as a people, because we are so worried about what we eat and what we didn’t eat, and we forget the covenant God and preservation of life. And now we use [worldly] wisdom and try to do this and that, and most of it is fear. Trying to not do this and to do that, it’s because we’re vulnerable – we’re a problem waiting to manifest. We give flu a season! And we take shots so it doesn’t get us! You’re not putting your flu on me, and I’m not an arrogant man. I don’t fear it, and it’s not gonna touch me; never has, and it ain’t gonna. And I’m not an arrogant man.
Heaven and hell both understand me – you might misunderstand, but they both know and that’s what matters. So you can write a book or an article about me saying I’m some kind of something, but that flu going around this season, it ain’t getting on me.
You ought to feel what I’m feeling right now; I’m not being arrogant, and I’m not condemning you for ever having [had] the flu. What I’m saying is that what we make allowance for and what we see and believe is what determines us most of the time, and we don’t understand that.
Because you feel you’re vulnerable, you’re set up for the experience. And we’re afraid to believe, and think we’re extreme and out of balance to start making declarations when nobody’s looking.
God doesn’t want us vulnerable like that. We’re afraid to be presumptuous, to be puffed up and to think of ourselves more highly than we ought, and we throw those scriptures in there to, to – they stop truth! I’m thinking of myself the way He’s teaching me I am! It’s what He said, it’s His idea! He’s the One that said “Greater is He that’s in me!” So if I start walking without fear, am I presumptuous? He said “Fear not.” So do I have to maintain a certain level of intimidation to at least stay “real” and “relatable” and “balanced”?
Come on, He said “Don’t worry,” so I’m NEVER going to worry. I don’t worry! I trust Jesus, and my life’s not my own, and if things aren’t working the way they seem they should, something’s going to work for the good, because He loves me and I love Him and we’re in covenant and it’s gonna be fine, and I ain’t losing sight of truth!
He taught me how not to fear. When my wife was hit with this thing and she was on life support and had severe brain damage and was in a coma, and all of a sudden I get the phone call of her condition and all this stuff the doctors want to do because she’s gonna die, I said, “Listen, now’s not the time for me to get a medical education. That’s what you went to school for bud, and I appreciate whatever you do for my wife. You just do what you think is right. I’m not the kind of guy who’s gonna contest you and sue you; you just do what you think is right, but I’m gonna tell you what I am and where I’m at with this.”
And I told him [the doctor]. And he said, “Well, sir, I appreciate it, but I have to face reality,” and I said, “Sir, you’ve missed everything I’ve said. I have faced Reality, and I’m coming in to see her and lay my hands on her.”
…The worst thing I could have done would have been to take this personal and get hurt, mad at God, and pull back, and get dismantled and prove that I’m in this for me and not for His glory. Come on! Life is a gift, your kids are a gift, your spouse is a gift; don’t you covet what was given by God! God never gave you a gift at the cost of who He is! He gave you a gift to realize the goodness of who He is, and if something gets hit in warfare, don’t you blame God and back out! You suit up and fight all the more. If you lose a child, you run harder to the finish line so you can embrace them and God in the end. Don’t you step back and don’t you bow out!
See, I can’t lose! We’ve already won! So when I get that phone call, I can’t lose! She can get up, and you better believe it; I ain’t afraid! And I promise you I ain’t crying “Oh my God,” or [starting] seventeen prayer chains asking “Please pray for my wife!” That’s fear! That’s a “fear-line” when you do that. [Some would say] “The more people praying, the better brother!” ONE IN FAITH IS A MAJORITY! MOVE THAT MOUNTAIN!
See, you have to get through some of this stuff so that it’s not a philosophy or a theory. We’re afraid of the den and the night in the lions’ den, because we’re afraid the lion’s gonna bite us. What do I care if I’m in a lion’s den overnight – He’s gonna shut the mouth of EVERY lion! I’m in covenant! I’m innocent in His sight through the blood! I’m not condemned, I’m justified!
We’re praying to stay out of the den because WE’RE NOT SURE THEY WON’T BITE! We’re praying to stay out of fire because WE THINK IT WILL BURN! The fire was never the issue; it’s WHO THE LORD IS that was the issue in that account. It never was about the fire, or the fourth man would have put it out when He showed up! He doesn’t give it enough honor to put it out! He’s Lord over it! Why put it out when He’s King? Just let His boys be free in the middle of it, right in the face of adversity, let them be loosed and free and not even smell of smoke!
See? I don’t look like I’ve been in a fire nor do I smell of smoke; but do you see the passion in me? Do you see how I changed in the last half hour? Do you know why? Because I’ve been in that lions’ den, and this ain’t a philosophy to me. And I’ve been in that furnace, and you’ve better believe there’s a fourth man, and His name is Jesus, and He is my King!
This ain’t a game; it ain’t a philosophy; it ain’t a religion; it ain’t a doctrine. It’s real, and it’s relationship, and it’s love, and it never fails! But if it’s about ME in that fire you better believe I’m toasty bacon. If it’s about HIM in that fire, it has NOTHING on me.
Are you following me? Do you see what’s “wrong” with me right now? THIS GOSPEL’S TRUE! That’s what’s “wrong” with me! Yah!
I had the great privilege of being fearless and walking into my wife’s room and popping her eyes open and saying, “Hey, girl,” (I had my son with me) “your boys are here to see you. And we’ve come to get you out of this nap!” Yah! And we didn’t chant and pray and blow four shofars and wave three colors of flags. And I know we say that God tells us to do that stuff, but sometimes we’re just trying hard because we care, but we fail the trouble.
I’m being honest; I’m a straight-shooter. Don’t get offended. We do care, we’re good people, we don’t want our loved ones to die, and we’re trying hard – too hard, I think. I want to be a better believer. My wife ain’t getting healed because I wave the right color flag! My wife’s getting healed because Jesus raised from the dead! Are you hearing me? I know that offends some folks, and I’m not trying to be offensive.
But you pray for twenty seconds over her and speak life for twenty seconds over her [his comatose wife] and you take your boy and walk out of the room to take him home. He grabs you in the hall and cries profusely, and says, “Dad, I so appreciate you because I realize you don’t see what I see.” He cried out as a teenager, “That’s the difference between you and me! You didn’t see what I saw in that room!”
I said, “I don’t know anything else to see: [spoken peacefully] Jesus is Lord!” [Laughs in victory]. [Transcriptionist: Elisha and his servant in 2 Kings 6:16-17 comes to mind!]
He’s holding onto me crying, and I say, “Now listen, you’re going to school tomorrow, and you don’t have permission to be depressed. And you’re going to be a blessed boy because your mamma is in the hand of the living God.”
I took him home, then I went back [to the hospital], sat on the windowsill – it was an hour and a half after we had touched her. I watched her open her eyes on the life support, come out of the coma. They ran an EEG, and her brain activity [had become] normal.
That ain’t happening because I fretted and feared – it’s easy to do that in the flesh. That’s the flesh reaction. Well, you don’t live from your flesh; you live by your spirit. Do you know what’s cool? I could have been pumping gas on my way to the hospital, and [if you’d seen me] you’d never have known what was going on, coz it ain’t the story of my day. Jesus is the story of my day! [Laughing] He’s the headline on the front page, baby!
[Then he enacted the way it usually transpires]: “How you doing, Dan?” “Oh my God, I’m so glad I bumped into you! Oh my God, my wife’s in trouble, get so-and-so together for prayer – I’m headed to the hospital to see her now!” That’s what we do, and we call that faith, No, that’s panic and fear, and we’ve become a product of the trouble. Don’t get condemned by what I’m saying, be challenged by what I’m saying.
He said “Do not fear. Do not worry.” And our first two reactions in trouble are fear and worry, and THEN we pray from the place of being dismantled by what’s wrong, and we lose sight of what’s right and we get reduced to turning the Bible into a method that we apply, hoping it works because we’re in a jam. Then we get disappointed with it and [lose faith]. He’s not a method; He’s my Father and He’s with me; you better believe it!
Man, I feel Him now, I do. He’s all over me, and I like it! I like to feel the presence of God! But if I didn’t “feel” it, guess what? I’m a son and He loves me! You just can’t lose [laughs]! Do you follow me?
It’s the authority of the believer.
Look, Matthew 28: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto Me.” That’s Jesus’ declaration upon coming out of the grave and seeing His disciples. All authority. How much authority? “All authority. In heaven and on earth. Go, therefore.”
Did you just hear that? What’s He doing? He’s knighting you with that authority; He’s dubbing you with what He just won. He’s saying, “You’re in Me and we are one. I’m going to ascend to the Father. Father, I do not pray that You take them out of here, just keep them from the evil one, because they’re going to rock the world in My love. So I’m coming to You, and You’re coming to them through the Holy Spirit, and I just gave them authority. Yay! I rule the Kingdom with a scepter of righteousness. They’re right in Our sight.”
Righteous! Righteous! ! You kneel and bow before Him and He knights you! You’re right with Him! Run well! Whoo! How much authority! “ALL authority, in heaven and earth has been given to Me; go, therefore.” What’s He saying? “You’re in Me and I’m in you. I chose you. You’re My Body, you’re My people. Who I am I’ve given to you. What I am I’ve given to you. You’re lacking no good thing. Now be of courage and go after this thing!”
It’s all through our Bibles, it’s the commission; it’s the connection. Even when He says He’s raised above and every name and every tongue, above the earth and under the earth shall bow and worship Jesus, He says “You, therefore” – He goes right into us! He says He’s the Head over every power and principality and all things, even to the Church which is His fullness which fills all and all. He says to the glory of God through the power that worketh in us in Corinthians. In Ephesians He says He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask, think, or imagine, by the power that worketh in us! Everywhere that He exalts Jesus highly He connects us at the end! It’s amazing! [Laughs and claps with glee]
We’re waiting on God, and I really believe He’s waiting on us to understand and to stop being afraid and to stop being subdued by the earth but to start subduing.
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will … place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. – Mark 16:17-18
Amen, brother Dan! Amen! Hallelujah! – deanna

Reblogged this on The Lord Is With Us.
I purposely set time aside to read this in its entirety this morning. I told my son not to bother me for a bit and I silenced my surroundings. I don’t have the right words to describe how powerful this is. I now know that fear and flesh have been serious obstacles in the matter of healing in my life. I want to sound so creative and powerful when I pray like that will make some difference. I understand that call for the prayer line spoken here as well. It’s all so true! I need to purpose to get my emotions and put away fear when it comes to healing. It is mine and me calling out the word in simplicity free from fleshly reactions is what it will require to move this mountain and more! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m going to look at the video too. Got a feeling that the way this message is delivered exudes incredible faith and power! Love you Deanna.

Oh, I love you too, dear sister who truly presses into Jesus with everything that she has! I am praising God for all that is happening here, Chanel! What you express so beautifully and honestly is true for so many of us, so thank you so much for doing so!
PLEASE DO watch the video: seeing the Lord Jesus Christ via human flesh (in this case, Dan’s) is always a powerful thing WELL worth our time. Furthermore, Dan’s tremendous love for people, purity of heart, transparency, child-like joy, and deep passion for all which breaks our Lord’s heart are so striking in the videos. (I just happen to be one of those who learns better by reading and rereading than by listening – that’s part of why I spent such time transcribing some of his many, many videos. The other main reason was to bring such powerful revelations and truths to other mature Christians who prefer to read.)
For all others reading this now, please set aside 34 minutes, click on the link at the beginning of this post, and watch the YouTube video not only for your own healing, but so that you will lay hands on sick people and THEY will receive the healing of Jesus Christ through YOUR faith in Him, God’s living omnipotent Word! God bless you as you do so! ❤️
Amen. Thank you for sharing Sister. God bless you.

Many thx for your time and persistence to transcribe this loving message! I’ve only recently been bitten by the Dan Mohler love-bug also! The videos are wonderful, but reading this is so helpful! My wife and I are helping to teach and equip believers in a small church to step out and love people with the love and power of Christ. Strongholds of tradition and excuses for powerlessness are being torn down in me first, and in our people. Pursuing God is the biggest adventure in life! May He bless you and your followers greatly! Hello, brother! Thank you so much for taking the time to share all this. I praise God for ministering such a powerful message of Christ our Healing through such a living epistle as Dan. So blessed to learn these transcriptions are a help to other members of this glorious Body of Christ. And regarding followers, of course it is Jesus whom we follow, not each other. 😊 Thank you so much for the blessing! May He continue blessing you and your wife (He will! It’s a given!) as you pursue Him, our first Love! (I was just washed over with His love for us right now; WOW!)
Thanks for following my blog; you are very kind.
Awesome, wonderful, life changing truth. Thank you so much for transcribing this message! Bless you xo

Thank you for taking the time to share this, Sister. Praise God for His truth, and for giving us weapons with divine power to demolish all those strongholds to which we had been held captive – UNTIL NOW!
Very nice text. I would have to say much but as first I would just ask what about this:
“4There are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6There are different ways of working, but the same God works all things in all men.
7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who apportions them to each one as He determines. ” 1 Corinthians 12:4-11?
I understand what Dan writes that a man should have no doubt that Jesus wants to heal anyone, but I just wonder maybe not everyone should heal but only those appointed by Him? I ask this because during last years when I see someone sick I would want to heal him in name of Jesus but then I remember 1 Corinthians 12:4-11. Maybe, I don’t understand this well, so I ask you about this. Greetings!

“I ask this because during last years when I see someone sick I would want to heal him in name of Jesus but then I remember 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.“ – The same Spirit who enabled Jesus and His apostles to heal miraculously in His power lives in you, and wants you to participate with Him by virtue of your faith in Jesus Christ! God (the Vine) chooses to work and produce fruit through believers (branches) – it’s a joint venture. If you read 1 Cor 12 carefully (as I address in a later comment on this string), you’ll realize Paul is NOT saying only certain believers are GIVEN the gift – it’s just that not all realize they CAN have all the gifts necessary for any situation for the glory of God! So, Christian, please obey the Holy Spirit’s leading and speak the word over sick people or lay hands on them IN JESUS’ AUTHORITY. Love in Christ, deanna
I know that e.g. this “9to another faith by the same Spirit” doesn`t mean than not everyone should have faith – on contrary, every Christian must have a faith by default, this verse is just about more faith, faith as special gift of The Spirit. Similarly, everyone could speak in tongues, but this “to another speaking in various tongues” from versus 10 is about special gift of tongues. Yet, I don`t know if it is same case with healing (and other) mentioned in those verses? Is healing only gift given only to some people or it is for everyone?
Hello, Christian! I understand it just as you have demonstrated by Scripture herein. Other Scripture supporting this interpretation include Jesus sending out the 12 and then the 70 to preach, heal the sick, and deliver, and then His commission to teach all that He taught them.
Specifically, in Mark 16:15-18 we have this:
15He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; THEY WILL PLACE THEIR HANDS ON SICK PEOPLE, AND THEY WILL GET WELL” (Emphasis added).
Christians are indwelt by the same Holy Spirit that anointed Jesus Christ (and Christ means anointed one). Objectively, in Christ we all have been given EVERY spiritual blessing! Yet we each have different subjective experiential knowledge of Christ according to our faith and our obedient application of it.
That’s the best way I can express my present understanding of how these Scriptures all tie together, Christian. Praise God, as we keep searching His Word for treasure, He reveals what He has concealed, and we are so very blessed!
It could be as you said but it also could be that when Christ says: “these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; THEY WILL PLACE THEIR HANDS ON SICK PEOPLE, AND THEY WILL GET WELL” He means “In my name some of them will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; SOME OF THEM WILL PLACE THEIR HANDS ON SICK PEOPLE, AND THEY WILL GET WELL”
You can see that in two places I replaced word “them” with “some of them” (regarding driving out demons and healing) wanting to express possible meaning of Christ`s words. Why didn`t I do so in other cases? Because, there is biblical or logical support for that. E.g. that all Christians can speak tongues there is biblical support in Acts and epistles of apostle Paul because each baptizing with The Holy Spirit has been described as followed by speaking in tongues except in case of baptizing apostle Paul (“ex-Saul”), but probably he also then (if not later) spoke in tongues because he later wrote that he would like that all Christians speak in tongues as he speaks. That all Christians could “pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all” there is logical support because I believe that His will is not that any Christian dies if he is bitten by snake (as in case of apostle Paul) or if he is poisoned by something (or someone). But, I don`t see neither biblical nor logical support that all Christians have to (or could or ought to) drive out demons or heal sick people. So, while it seems that speaking of tongues was part of baptizing in The Holy Spirit, I don`t see in The Bible that it was case with healing or driving out demons during baptizing in The Holy Spirit or in some other cases which would be proof that it is for all Christians too. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I don`t see some verses from The Scripture about that, so tell me if it is so. I ask this because if I would heal someone I would like to be sure that it is Christ`s will indeed. I also keep in mind that there are many gifts of The Holy Spirit and that He gives as He wants, so that (keeping in mind other told here) means that not all heal or drive out demons (or resurrect dead – to add that)? And also, that even those who do that should be appointed by someone to do that (by laying hands or prayer). Apostle Paul says that in Body of Christ someone is eye, someone is hand, etc. and we know that eye does not do same as hand, etc. Also, he said that seven people should be chosen by The Holy Spirit to serve about table and helping poor and that they (apostles and others appointed by them) should preach word and keep services. And so on.
Thank you for your answers and all your efforts you make on this website and elsewhere!
Hello Christian! Praise God you have His desire to heal. The New Testament, including Jesus’ entire life and ministry, proves that God’s will is that we BE healed, delivered, and choose not to sin but to walk in accordance with His Holy Spirit within us. God sacrificed His only begotten Son that it may be so! We have the same Spirit in us that Jesus had, and yet we must be DISCERNING and “do only as the Father is doing”, “say only what the Father is saying” as Jesus did (stated multiple times with slight variance throughout John’s gospel).
For example, although God has miraculously healed my immediate family members via my faith in and obedience to Christ, He does not usually have me lay hands on other sick Christians; instead, He prefers that I teach them (and my family members) these principles so that they may learn and apply them themselves. (As the saying goes, “Give me a fish and I’ll eat for a day. Teach me to fish, and I’ll eat for a lifetime.”)
So, in summary, it IS God’s will for the sick to be healed, Jesus commanded His disciples to teach what He taught them (which includes healing the sick), AND we are to DISCERN what God within us is saying and doing, and say and do only what He is saying and doing at every given instance. “Walk in accordance with the Spirit.”
Lastly, I caution you not to change Jesus’ words (see Deut. 4:1-2 and Rev. 22:18-19). He did not say “some” where you added it. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Prov. 3:5). God bless you, dear Christian!
Hello, deanna! I agree with all of what you nicely said in this your post but only not with your misunderstanding me that I changed Jesus` words when you said this: “Lastly, I caution you not to change Jesus’ words (see Deut. 4:1-2 and Rev. 22:18-19). He did not say “some” where you added it. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Prov. 3:5).” because I am aware of those verses Deut. 4:1-2 and Rev. 22:18-19 and I remind other people if they dare to twist His holy words. We mustn’t do that or we will be eternally punished. I am for a long time in walk with Him so I know how seriously would be to do that. I have used “some of them” instead of “them” just to express possible meaning of Christ`s words as I said in previous post: “You can see that in two places I replaced word “them” with “some of them” (regarding driving out demons and healing) wanting to express possible meaning of Christ`s words.” We can do that if it could be possible meaning. And it really could be. For example, Rev 13:16 says:
“16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:” It is said here that all men will receive the mark of the beast. But, if we see Rev 13:16 in context with other parts of The Bible we can see that not all men will receive the mark, that in that time there will also be people who will refuse to receive the mark of the beast. So, when Christ says that believers will heal, cast out demons, speak in tongues, etc., it doesn`t have to mean (can mean but doesn`t have to mean) that each of them will can do all of that but that some of them will heal, some of them will cast out demons, etc., but all of them together will do all of that though particularly not each of them do everything. That it is possible meaning is in accordance with Christ`s words spoken by apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12 (read the whole chapter). So, what if that what Christ speaks in Mark 16:17 is explained in 1 Corinthians 12? I am afraid to change Jesus’ words (Deut. 4:1-2 and Rev. 22:18-19) if I give Christ`s words in Mark 16:17 other meaning than what Christ through apostle Paul explained in 1 Corinthians 12.
I am not sure if I am 100% right here, so I ask you about that to help me to understand this in right way.
God bless you too, deear deanna!

Thank you, Christian, for persevering in this, for we are all to discuss and grow in the word! In restudying 1 Cor 12, I note (1) that Paul himself had all the gifts of the Spirit that he names in vv. 8-10 and vv. 28-30, and (2) that in the latter passage he does not say that one person cannot have all those gifts – he simply asks “Are all apostles?” etc. In my understanding, those the Lord calls to be apostles DO apprehend that they are anointed with the same Spirit that Jesus was anointed with. Similarly, I believe that most if not all Christians whom the Lord does not call to be apostles do NOT apprehend that all Christians are anointed with the same Spirit that Jesus was anointed with. God equips those He calls, of course…
Again, Jesus sent all 70 disciples to preach and heal and deliver, AND in Matt 28:18-20 He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Therefore, since He taught them to heal & deliver, they are to teach those whom they disciple to heal and deliver, and so on and so forth.
That is how I divide those Scriptures, and so I understand that, AS LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, all disciples really ARE to heal the sick and deliver out the demons. Yet not all DO, hence Paul’s questions, “Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?” are answered in the negative.
Hope this makes sense. Thanks for the dialogue – I hope it’s been a blessing to you as it’s been to me!
I think so too, though there are Christians (like apostle Paul) who have and do all gifts, yet not all Christians do all, so not all Christians heal and cast out demons too but only those who are called by YAH (Lord) to do so. Therefore, in order not to make a sin, I decided not to heal and cast out demons except if He calls me to do so (we should also keep in mind James 5:14, Tit 1:5, Acts 14:23, Acts 1:23-26, Acts 6:2-7, Acts 8:17, Acts 19:6, 2 Tim. 1:6, 1 Tim. 1:18, 1 Tim. 4:14, 1 Tim. 5:22, Heb. 6:2 and so on).
Thanks for dialogue too, yes it was blessing to me too. I think that we have understood each other.
Christian, in obedience and in love, I leave you with this: none of those Scriptures you cited support believers disobeying Christ’s teaching to cast out devils and heal the sick. You have not understood – please reread my previous comments. Thank you.
Maybe I haven`t understood. Maybe all of us can heal the sick and cast out devils, but beside that there are people who have special gift of healing and casting out devils. We probably can do that with some from our family and/or some known people, or even unknown but not so many people and we do that from time to time but those who have special gift do that often and with many various people, that is their call from YAH. It seems so, if I understood that well now. So, I can conclude now for difference from my previous conclusion that I have right to do that with some limited number of people and I’m happy with that I can help people in that way too. 🙂
Thank you for help in understanding this!

Praise God for this, Christian! To go even further in understanding, my sharing this with you about my relationship with Christ may help… I praise God that He Himself lives in me! As I rejoice in being in covenant relationship with HIM (!!), the Spirit of God enables me to do whatever miracle is called for, whenever it’s called for, just as Jesus promised He would, because I know His will and believe: Truly, truly, I say to you, anyone who believes in me will do the works I have been doing. They will do even greater works than these because I am going to the Father. (John 14:12)
Hi, deanna, I have just understood well all of this but then I remembered this verse:
“Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.” 1 Tim. 5:23
I have read that even apostle Paul had illness, I will cite it here if I remember where I found that verse in the Bible.
Why didn`t Paul healed Timothy (or Timothy himself) in name of Jesus, but instead of that he recommended him natural way of healing. I know that in some cases we maybe shouldn`t call Jesus if we have natural remedy which He created for us. Should we call Jesus (supernatural way of healing) in any case or only in case that natural remedy didn`t help us?
Maybe Timothy didn`t eat apsolutely healthy food or it is something other what caused Timothy`s frequent illnesses? I know that when Jesus healed men that then He said to them: “Go and don`t sin anymore so that something worse doesn`t happen to you!” If after healing we go on smoking, eating unhealthy food or if we kill, steal and so on, something worse can happen with us. I don`t believe that Timothy sinned in food or anything else because he was direct disciple of apostle Paul (actually, according to 1 John 1:8-10 and 1 John 2:1,2, I know that even he (and even Paul and other apostles) did sin but not much and not often and especially not with intention and that he repented soon after that) but then what could cause that Timothy`s frequent illnesses? I know about some example in Gospel about child who was sick not for his or his parents` sins but God`s glory to be shown. But I don`t see that it is a case here. Also, it could be innocent suffering like in case of old testament believer Job. I`m not sure. What`s your opinion?
Except for Jesus of Nazareth, no one, other apostles and prophets included, are fully sanctified here on earth while the battle between the flesh and spirit continues (e.g. Gal. 5:16-17). As to why Timothy did not heal himself in Jesus’ authority, I offer that he was growing in the Lord, and NOT that he wasn’t led to seek the Lord as to what his sin was and repent of it, for we should all do that when we are sick. As to why Paul didn’t heal Timothy via speaking healing forth, I offer that the Holy Spirit did not lead him to do so.
The Lord led me to write a ~35 page Bible study which addresses some of your questions. Please see https://thelordiswithus.com/looking-into-gods-word-on-the-cause-and-eradication-of-disease-2/. Thank you for pressing into the word as you do! The Body of Christ is blessed as a member does so, and He is glorified as we mature.
Maybe it is similarly with thorn in Paul`s flesh? Maybe not all Christians will be healed from all sickness for that reason described here:
“7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:7-10
Please see what the Lord gave me to write about Paul’s “thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan” (a messenger is an angelic being or a person) in Part 6 of the Bible study https://thelordiswithus.com/looking-into-gods-word-on-the-cause-and-eradication-of-disease-2/
I have found now those verses about apostle Paul`s illness:
“13 As you know, it was because of an illness that I first preached the gospel to you, 14 and even though my illness was a trial to you, you did not treat me with contempt or scorn. Instead, you welcomed me as if I were an angel of God, as if I were Christ Jesus himself. 15 Where, then, is your blessing of me now? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?
17 Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you from us, so that you may have zeal for them.
18 It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always, not just when I am with you. 19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, 20 how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!” Gal. 4:13-20
The same apostle which healed others like in this case:
“7 There was an estate nearby that belonged to Publius, the chief official of the island. He welcomed us to his home and showed us generous hospitality for three days. 8 His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. 9 When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured. 10 They honored us in many ways; and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.” Acts 28:7-10
Also, I found out this similar verse:
“20 Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus” 2 Tim. 4:20
So, Trophimus was sick too and for some reason apostle Paul didn`t heal him but left him sick in Miletus.
Now I have found some explanation of Galatians 4:13 where it is said that apostle Paul was sick for believers to see that all good what Paul made was not from Paul himself but from Jesus through Paul. It seems that`s answer for all of this.
Christian, have you ever considered why Jesus didn’t heal everybody that was sick on earth when he was living? He healed ALL those who came to Him or were brought to him by others in faith, but not everyone on the planet. As to why Acts and the epistles don’t show Christians healing Christians, we are to confess our sins one to another (repent) and pray for one another that we grow in this and receive the healing Christ procured for us 2,000 years ago, for by His wounds we HAVE BEEN HEALED (1 Peter 2:24) – we believers must grow in God’s Word and apply it ourselves. Miraculous healing of other people is mainly of unbelievers to show them the Lord; believers need to recognize their sin, repent of it (put off the old man), and rejoice in and live out the truth (they have been made new in Christ). Again, please read the Bible study https://thelordiswithus.com/looking-into-gods-word-on-the-cause-and-eradication-of-disease-2/ God bless you!
Deanna, before I started to write you here, I have read these texts on your website:
and Part I from https://thelordiswithus.com/looking-into-gods-word-on-the-cause-and-eradication-of-disease-2/
Now I have read parts II-VI from last link and saved part VII to read citations from the Bible later when I got time.
I agree with what you said in your last posts to me too and also with those statements you wrote in those your links I have read. I have already recognized most of that you said there earlier when I was reading those places in the Bible (e.g. Deut. 28 and others), but you have placed all of that on one place. It is so useful and full of wisdom from above. It cost you your efforts but I know that you worked with help of grace of The Holy Spirit and that you were pleased with that too. I have also found some new thoughts at you which I agree with too. About your quoting the words of king David about thorn in flesh, interestingly, if I remember well I have recently (this month) found out the same explanation in a book of John Bevere (I am interested whether you heard of him?) I have recently got.
Like you I also don`t use modern medicine. But also I consider that we should eat healthy food to have good health because to eat unhealthy food would also be a sin and sin cause the sickness the mostly. I have not time to write now about healthy food, I will in shortly write here on Monday and then I will write you something on other your topic about the rapture but until the Monday if you have a time just tell me something about what you consider healthy food and diet.
God bless you too!

Love how the Lord brings us additional witnesses! I have heard of John Bevere, but have not read his works.
Regarding eating, I emphasize what our Lord said in Luke 12:22-23! Also, see 1 Tim 4:3-5. Many Christians lose sight of the Lord when it comes to eating! If Christians knew and believed God’s Word here, they wouldn’t take their eyes off the Lord and sin by worrying about what they eat. Furthermore, in Mark 16:18 our Lord promises us deadly poison will not harm those who believe.
I have not heard of John Bevere until about month ago when I got some his books. I have recently read two of them and now I read third one and can say they are very interesting and useful and as I have noticed till now almost all is true (a few statements are not true probably because he didn`t study more about them).
Those verses about eating are often quoted but they should be well understood. What`s your opinion about forbidden (unclean) food (Leviticus 11 and so on)?
Ahh! My position (not opinion ☺️) on a matter is what God’s word says on the matter, and in that case it is “nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them.”
(Here’s Mark 7:14-18 NIV: Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.))

Ok, deanna, it is your but not positon of Jesus. 🙂
Lets look at verses which precede Mark 7:14-18:
“The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled, that is, unwashed. 3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.[a])
5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[b]
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[c] your own traditions! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’[d] and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[e] 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.””
So, it is about traditions of men which Pharisees and teachers of the law put above His laws (“The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders. 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.” verses 3 and 4). So, when it is said: “(In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)” or better translated in KJV: “purging all meats”, it means that food doesn`t make a man dirty but that what goes out from man`s heart. In that sense food is clean. But here Jesus speaks only about food not about that what is not food. In Leviticus 11 Jesus says: 46 “‘These are the regulations concerning animals, birds, every living thing that moves about in the water and every creature that moves along the ground. 47 You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten.’” So Jesus make difference between creatures that may be eaten (i.e. creatures that may be food) and creatures that mustn`t be eaten (i.e. creatures that are not food). Therefore, in Mark 7 Jesus speaks about animals which are food not about animals which are not food (and He said in Leviticus 11 and other parts of the Bible which animals are not food (the pig, the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard, etc.) and which ones are food (the ox, the sheep, the goat, the chicken, etc.).
In 1 Timothy 4:3-5 it is said: “and order them to abstain from certain foods”, so again only food is mentioned not that what is not food. So, when apostle Paul says: “foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving” he speaks about food (the ox, the goat, etc.) which God created to be received with thanksgiving not about that what is not food (the pig, the rat, etc.).
Luke 12:22,23 speaks again about food not about that what is not food: “22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.” So lets not worry about that whether we will have enough food (again food (the ox, the goat, etc.) not that what is not food (the pig, the rat, etc.)) to eat because “your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” – Luke 12:30,31
Citation: “and when they drink deadly poison, it
will not hurt them at all” from Mark 16:18 is only if we drink it unconsciously (and then find out that we drunk poison and pray Jesus to be saved of it), for if we drink it consciously then we either kill ourselves (if don`t know about Mark 16:18) or taste God (if know about Mark 16:18 and use it as excuse to consciously drink poison) and we know that: “Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test”” Matthew 4:7
See also this from Isaiah 65: “a people who continually provoke me to my very face…who eat the flesh of pigs, and whose pots hold broth of impure meat…Such people are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that keeps burning all day.6 “See, it stands written before me: I will not keep silent but will pay back in full; I will pay it back into their laps” and other unclean animals”. Also, from Isaiah 66:
“See, the Lord is coming with fire,
and his chariots are like a whirlwind;
he will bring down his anger with fury,
and his rebuke with flames of fire.
For with fire and with his sword
the Lord will execute judgment on all people,
and many will be those slain by the Lord.
17 “Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs, rats and other unclean things—they will meet their end together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.'”
By the way, though Jesus ordered us not to eat pigs and other unclean animals and said that we might eat the ox and other clean animals, yet He prefers plant food as it was in Eden before Adam fell: “29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. ” Genesis 1:29
Dear Christian, you are either not understanding our Lord’s words or you are being legalistic with Him. Read again Mark 7:14-18 : Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. For it doesn’t go into their heart…” It’s our hearts and what comes out of them that matters, not what we ingest. We died to the law – if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing (see Gal. 2:19,21 and Ro. 7:4).
And Christ’s point about drinking poison (Mark 16:17) and not worrying about what we eat (Luke 12:22-23) clearly is not that we should drink or eat poison intentionally, but that we needn’t worry about what we should eat or drink. Keep it simple: Christ alone.
I am not legalistic with Christ, I just keep His orders: “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” John 14:15
“The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” Mathew 5:17-20
When Christ says: ““Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart…”” He doesn`t speak about unclean animals that they can`t defile us but only about clean animals and other food (plant) that they can`t defile us because Christ has never considered unclean animals as food what His words from Leviticus 11 (“You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten and those that may not be eaten” and so on) and other parts of Bible show what I have already quoted. He does not contradict Himself. He means by default that we should not eat unclean animals because He forbade it in The Bible which He read from while He was walking on earth. Jesus in Mark 7 speaks only about that food doesn`t defile us: “(NIV)In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean”, He doesn`t speak about unclean animals because in Leviticus He said that they are not food.
When you say: “And Christ’s point about drinking poison (Mark 16:17) and not worrying about what we eat (Luke 12:22-23) clearly is not that we should drink or eat poison intentionally, but that we needn’t worry about what we should eat or drink. Keep it simple: Christ alone.” it is correct in sense that we needn’t worry about what we should eat or drink but of food and drink and not of something what is not food or drink, what is forbidden. We should have in mind that when someone offers pig or rat or any other unclean animal to us, we must refuse it because Jesus said that it is not food, it is unclean, it is poison for us. If we would eat that then we eat poison intentionally. So, “we needn’t worry about what we should eat or drink” if someone says: “this is meat of ox”, but actually he lies and doesn’t tell us truth that it is meat of pig. Then it is not our fault and Jesus will clean it in us according to Mark 16:17. But, if someone says: “this is meat of pig” and we eat it then it is our fault because we knew it is meat of pig what Jesus forbade to eat in Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Isaiah and so on, but we consciously broke His order not to eat it.
All the best!
Christian, consider what you wrote: “He means by default that we should not eat unclean animals because He forbade it in The Bible which He read from while He was walking on earth. Jesus in Mark 7 speaks only about that food doesn`t defile us: “(NIV)In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean”, He doesn’t sn`t speak about unclean animals because in Leviticus He said that they are not food.” What sense does it make that Jesus declare food which doesn’t defile us to be clean? Food which doesn’t defile would already be clean.
Consider how Acts 10:9-15 does not support your viewpoint; I will include here only the last verses:
[Peter] fell into a trance. 11He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
Note that the Lord declaring unclean foods clean is manifested spiritually as well as physically when He declares Gentiles clean! Praise the Lord! And again, discussing His word as we are and learning from the discussion is very pleasing to Him. Yet since this hasn’t directly pertained to the article on healing but has been on another topic for a while, please email me at thelordiswithus1 @ yahoo.com instead of continuing here, ok? Thanks, Christian!
Acts 10:9-15 doesn`t speak about that God made something what is not food to become food, but only that in New Testament Jews can meet Gentiles if they are in same faith in Jesus for difference from Old Testament. Similarly, Mark 7 doesn`t say that what is not food become food but only that food is clean in meaning that we don`t become killers, stealers and so on by food we eat but by what we keep in our hearts. That`s why apostle Paul in 1 Tim 4:3-5 rebuked those who forbids eating (food of course not that what is not food). Of course we are killers (of ourselves in that case) if eat something what is not food, i.e. if we take in poison (pig, rat and so on).
Thanks deanna for e-mail, but I think that it is better that we go on on another topic you have mentioned because it will be useful for readers. So, just leave me a link to that topic and we`ll go on there.
God bless all of us!
Christian, realize that this is not the public forum for you to continue on. I am sorry you did not honor the request not to post here, and request now that you not post anywhere on this blog site until the matter has been reconciled privately via email. Thank you in advance for your obedience to the Lord in honoring this request.
It was just my proposal. I didn`t know it was such form that it can`t be discussed on some other topic. Ok, I will try to explain you this matter by e-mail, but the most important is to open your heart for whole true.

Amen, Christian! Grateful for the email.
I want to know if Mr. Mohler’s wife was healed.
Thank you, i can find no testimony anywhere that she lived.
“I watched her open her eyes on the life support, come out of the coma. They ran an EEG, and her brain activity [had become] normal.“ – Yes, God healed her miraculously just as Dan believed and therefore spoke forth.
Can I get latest updates from your website ? I can only get things from 2016 .. are you still teaching😊
The Lord taught me much since then, as can be viewed on the home page https://thelordiswithus.com/. Much time alone with the Lord, in His word and reading as He led from saints of the 1800s and early 1900s was behind that. God bless you!
